As the wealthy take to a spending spree and signs look more optimistic for more bigger and modern boats, there’s still demand for the sporty lines on the oceans. Italian designer Carlo Cafiero in collaboration with the TechMarine shipyard has come out with a new 80-meter superyacht concept with the sporty lines of an oceangoing Lamborghini. With its shark-like appearance, the Cafiero 80M superyacht concept features a steel and light alloy aluminum hull combined with an elegant design. Fitted with twin Caterpillar 3516 hp engines to reach a maximum speed of 17 knots, the superyacht also features tinted polycarbonate bulwarks aft shielding and a sea level swimming pool along with a retractable helipad in the bow. Featuring four decks, she can accommodate up to 30 guests, including an owner’s “supersuite” as well as 30 crew members. Maintaining a consistent design theme, designers have still managed to achieve the aggressiveness, and we hope it manages a good response in the market.
